Awareness campaigns:
Presentations were made on the global warming and the steps being taken by the Foundation through AlphaGreen to reduce the effects for the benefit of the staff members of The MaxWealth Trust and The Alpha Foundation on 21st May 2008 where the film “An Inconvenient Truth” was also screened. The new Assistant Manager and Project Officer of Regional Office, Dehradun were given an orientation in the AlphaGreen project activities and the role of the Dehradun team.

AlphaGreen posters were put up in the offices of Icfai University, Meghalaya & Dehradun, PDD, Bhubaneswar & Mumbai, IRS RO, Kolkata and all Regional Offices of the Foundation.  

E–campaign:
An e-campaign was initiated by sending email messages along with a powerful power point presentation originally created by the former President of India Sri A.P.J. Abdul Kalam to more than 3200 registered email ids through Web Development department. Once every fortnight an e-information message shall be sent to more number of people.

Tree plantation:

On 30th May 2008 saplings of fruit bearing and big trees planted in the premises of  all the 3 ACLs by the students, staff members of the ACLs and VTP trainees.

Collaboration in promoting environment friendly materials:

On the occasion of the “World Environment Day”, an awareness campaign-cum-exhibition was organized on 5th June 2008 in collaboration with PDD in its office premises at Srinagar Colony. Ms. Jhansi, our Goodwill Ambassador, Sri Dillip Dasgupta, Director, ISFS,  Sri Sanjay Ramchandani, Director, PDD. The event was covered by NTV and Sify Hyderabad Live.

An awareness rally, a painting competition and a seminar was organized by the Regional Office, Bhubaneswar on the occasion in which 300 children from all the ACL areas took part. The Law & Industries Minister and the Tribal Welfare Minister attended the programme which was also graced by the Director of the Foundation, Sri P. Dinakara Rao. The event was widely covered by the print and visual media.
