Captivating Rajasthani Nite - THE HINDU

The Icfai University Rajasthan Nite 2007 was conducted by The Alpha Foundation on 14th November 2007 at VV Function Hall, Koti, Hyderabad. It was an evening of delightful treat for the eyes and ears as the famous Bhutte Khan Managaniar Group from Barmer, Rajasthan enthralled the audience with superlative performances in folk songs and dances of the region. The students of IRS, Fatehnagar showcased their talent by performing "Manduka Shabdam" and "Anamacharya Kirtanam" at the beginning of the event.

A wonderful dance festival - ANDHRA JYOTHI

The Icfai University Dance Festival 2007 was organized by The Alpha Foundation on 19th & 20th October 2007 at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad. Renowned Bharatnatyam exponent and guru Smt. Manjula Ramaswamy presented a ballet entitled "Godha Kalyanam" which was performed by her senior disciples on 19th evening to a packed audience. On 20th evening, Padmashree (Dr.) Shobha Naidu enthralled the packed hall of audience with a Kuchipudi ballet entitled "Kalyana Srinivasam". Famous Telugu film director Sri K. Vishwanath was the Chief Guest.

A tuneful evening - THE HINDU

The legendary playback singer of Tamil and Malayalam film industries, Sri P. Jayachandran, performed in Hyderabad after a gap of 30 years in the Icfai Kerala Nite 2007 organised by The Alpha Foundation in association with Kairalee Samajam, Hyderabad to celebrate the spirit of ONAM. It was an evening to cherish with soulful music by Sri Jayachandran and his troupe and authentic Kerali food available in plenty.

A musical extravaganza - THE HINDU

Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya on the santoor and Pandit Ronu Mojumdar on the flute performed together in a jugalbandi after a long time on the occasion of Icfai Jugalbandi Nite 2007 on 22nd August at Hyderabad. The jam packed audience in Ravindra Bharati was treated to a spellbinding recital of raag Rageswari and Pahadi by the jugalbandi duo.

Enlivening evening 
of music 
- The Hindu

Icfai Karnataka Nite 2007 was conducted by the Foundation in association with Kannada Natya Ranga, Hyderabad on 22nd July 2007 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, King Koti.  Renowned flautist Sri Pravin Godkhindi and popular playback singer Smt. Archana Udupa from Bangalore enthralled the audience of 1600 music lovers of Hyderabad and Secunderabad with a blend and medley of lilting, soul stirring and foot tapping music based on Hindustani and Carnatic ragas and Western classical music. Sri Praveen Godkhindi also played some of his own compositions.  It was a real treat for the ears and eyes.

The Foundation conducted “Icfai Maharashtra Nite 2007” on 10th June 2007 at Vivek Vardhini Function Hall in association with Vivek Vardhini Education Society which is celebrating its centenary this year. Sri Sreedhar Phadke, a popular light classical singer and son of legendary Marathi singer, late Sri Sudhir Phadke, entertained the 1500 strong audience with his masterful rendition of bhajans and light songs in Marathi late into the evening. As the auditorium got filled up with audience, the organizers had to arrange for live telecast for nearly 300 people in the dining hall.

The Foundation conducted "Icfai Bangla Nite 2007" on 25th February 2007 in association with Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha, Secunderabad at Keyes Girls' High School. Most popular and renowned classical and playback singer from Kolkata, Ms. Haimanti Sukla enthralled an audience of nearly 900 people for 2 hours with her renditions of thumris, ghazals, Nazrul geets, Rabindra sangeets, Hindi and Bengali film songs as well as Bengali modern songs.

The Foundation conducted Icfai Music Festival 2007. On 21st January a concert in contemporary Carnatic Instrumental Music was rendered by the dynamic duo Kumaresh and Ganesh and a concert on 22nd by the mellifluous duo Shanmukha Priya and Hari Priya in Carnatic Classical Vocal.
